For those who wish to read a little further:

We are a couple of guys from Berlin that just happened to have an idea (that we, by the way, like to believe is pretty awesome). Since nowadays it's so easy for any dumbass to express whatever he dumbassly wishes to express (yup, even a dumbass can publish a webpage) - Well... We just thought we would also give it a try!

So it begins: one of our hobbies is bikes. We are quite sure that there is a great number of bicycles that are just unused. This makes us a little sad. We think that we could put them back into circulation this way: we would love if the people who own old (or not that old) bikes whose only purpose seems to be to collect dust and serve as spider web's support to give them (or parts of them) to us for FREE. Yep, you've read correctly - FREE in bold and CAPITAL letters. We wish to emphasize on this, it is a very important part of the idea. We wish to repair them, sell them and donate half of the price for which we sell it to a charity. 50% is just an initial value - we really hope this works out and we can increase this percentage. The other half will be partly dedicated to buy new pieces that will most probably have to be replaced on the bikes and partly dedicated to us. Well, this "dedicated to us" part seems to be pretty close to zero (more like negative) as we don't have that much time currently (we both have to work to pay ourselves some food and a roof under which to stay). Hopefully, this project will become so big that we will be able to live from it and earn enough money to pay us some food and a shelter :)

The thing is we live in Berlin and do not have any means of transport (apart from public transport), which means that we could only pick up bikes from the city (anywhere our students tickets will take us for free). Needless to say, if anybody is willing to send us a bike from someplace else, it will be more than welcome. Unfortunately, we cannot afford to pay for the delivery of the bikes.

Our initial idea was to sell ONE bike. We already achieved that (take a quick look at the sold bikes, where you'll see that it's actually more than one). So we are really happy at the moment with the results. We just wish we could have more time... But well, there is a nice Swahili proverb that says "Where there’s a will there’s a way". Let's see if our will's enough!!!
